Asset manager ARK Invest decided to grab even more crypto exposure yesterday, but not through direct allocations into cryptocurrency. Instead, ARK bought 750,000 $COIN shares after the Coinbase public listing, making their stake worth ~$245M based on today’s closing price of $325.45. Crypto remained front and centre in traditional market news, even after the euphoria of Coinbase subsided. AXA Insurance announced a new payment option for their services: Bitcoin. AXA had been eyeing digital assets since 2019, when they conducted a survey asking clients aged 18-55 years old about their investment habits with crypto. More than a third of their policyholders owned them, and now, it seems they’re making it even easier to pay premiums or acquire new products from the French giant.
