”With digital assets such as Bitcoin now established as the first new asset class in 30 years, sovereigns, institutions, corporates, private banks and family offices are grappling with how to invest,” said OSL CEO Wayne Trench. “Early-mover advantage still exists, and the OSL Capital Introduction Conference 2021 provides a forum for investors and asset allocators to interact with industry leaders on how to gain exposure to digital assets.”

For the conference, OSL Prime Brokerage has curated a range of channels that investors and asset allocators may use to gain exposure to digital assets. The OSL Digital Asset Capital Introduction Conference will connect institutional and professional investors to leading managers, infrastructure providers and other industry leaders to discuss the various ways and means to invest in digital assets like Bitcoin, Ethereum and security tokens (i.e. STOs).

The virtual conference, which consists of a number of speeches and interactive panels, will feature opening remarks from OSL CEO Wayne Trench, a fireside chat with MicroStrategy CEO and Bitcoin treasury pioneer Michael Saylor, and keynote addresses from CoinShares Chief Strategy Officer Meltem Dimirors and Tim McCourt, CME Group Managing Director and Global Head of Equity Index and Alternative Investment Products.

MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor is one of the market’s most well-known and vocal supporters of using Bitcoin for corporate treasury. As of 5 March 2021 his company has purchased approximately BTC91,065, which has an approximate value of USD5.18 billion as of the timing of this release.

At the conference, industry experts from traditional finance and digital assets will a discuss a variety of topics, including: Direct Investment Into Digital Assets (e.g. Bitcoin and Ethereum); Why Institutions, Family Offices and Allocators are Now Investing in Digital Assets; and The Evolution of Digital Asset Custody, Security and Regulation.

“Digital assets, and Bitcoin in particular, are increasingly becoming part of our society and our economic system,” said CoinShares Chief Strategy Officer Meltim Demirors. “It’s not a question of ‘when’ big-name financial institutions will be heavily invested in digital assets, it’s a question of ‘how much’ they will invest.”

“Institutional demand for digital assets, including regulated crypto derivatives such as CME Bitcoin futures and options and recently launched Ether futures, continues to grow,” said Tim McCourt, CME Group Global Head of Equity Index and Alternative Investment Products. “Events like these provide an important platform for engaging with institutional participants across Asia.
